Shimla or Simla is state capital of Himachal Pradesh and one of the most famous North-Indian hill stations being 390Kms from New Delhi and with tourist attractions like mall road, Kufri etc. Along with famous tourist spot, Shimla attain very important in history of country. It was summer-capital in British India and famous Shimla pact between India and Pakistan was signed here. Famous for apple orchids and wooden crafts, Shimla is weekend gateway from Chandigarh and Delhi. Railway line joining Kalka to Shimla has been declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located at altitude of 2397 meters above sea level, the city got fair amount of snow every year. Although people visit Shimla every time of year, the peak season is April to October.
